Due to their Not Recommended status we did not feel comfortable asking a review to play with Ruby Royal.

A large proportion of the casinos that use Rival software are owned and operated by the Bonne Chance group, the same group that owns and operates Rival software. The centralized support and payment processing services that Bonne Chance provide for all of their casino had developed a substantially negative reputation due to excessive player payment problems and a lack of transparency when it comes to player disputes. Rival have even gone so far as to threaten CasinoMeister with legal action over a thread on the site’s message boards, a threat that they later withdrew.

Rival are secretive about the ownership of the various casinos that use their software, but it seems likely that Planet Kings are operated by Bonne Chance.

Ruby Royal casino – that is tied to the Bet Cave group via word for word the same claims as detailed above on their website – also has ties to Revenue Jet – the affiliate program for another group of Realtime Gaming casinos that we list as Not Recommended. The link to their affiliate program on their website links to the Revenue Jet page, though their casino does not appear to be listed with Revenue Jet.

In late 2014 a situation came to light where an affiliate was found to be hacking into other sites and posting their gambling links on these sites without the owners knowledge or permission. This activity is clearly illegal and unethical. The majority of casinos that were receiving traffic from this affiliate closed the affiliate’s accounts upon finding out what the affiliate was doing, however some casinos, whether via intent or insufficient security policies, continued to be listed on these sites for many months after the activity of this affiliate came to light. Many other brands managed to quickly take action to get themselves removed from the hacked sites (closing the affiliate account down and ensuring that new accounts could not be open). As hacking is an illegal and unethical activity any brand from a group that continued to appear on these hacked sites for an extended period of time has been placed on Not Recommended Casinos list..
