We’ve asked this question of many casinos and up until this point we’ve always received the correct answer – it makes no difference to the player whether they sign-up directly or through the link on a casino webpage. In the first instance, we only have Engage Entertainment’s word for it that new owners are in place, but more importantly, where an operator choose to buy a previously established casino rather than start a new one, they gain the advantage of a established brand name, aged domain with backlinks and the player database associated with the domain. The disadvantage of doing this is that they are subsequently associated with the decisions that the previous owner made. In this instance the new owners chose to buy a casino operator that had a long history of questionable business practices.

Claiming new ownership has long been an attempted Get Out of Jail Free card from owners who want to sidestep their tarnished reputation.

As the issues highlighted in this review are historically accurate, we’re not comfortable simply removing reference to them due to a claim on new ownership.
